Doç. Dr. Arif BAKLA

Genel Başkan Yardımcısı & Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi

Dr. Arif Bakla 1978 yılında Kırşehir’in Kaman ilçesinde doğmuştur. İlkokul ve ortaokulu Kaman’da tamamladıktan sonra Çankırı Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi’ni kazanmış ve burada öğretmenlik mesleğine ilgi duymaya başlamıştır. Lisans, Yüksek Lisans ve Doktorasını Hacettepe Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İngiliz Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda tamamlamıştır. MEB’de öğretmenlik yapmış ve okutman olarak Selçuk Üniversitesi’ne girmiştir. Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi İngilizce Öğretmenliği Bölümü’nde kurucu öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır. 2015 yılında TÜBİTAK bursu ile Iowa State Bilim ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Dilbilim ve Teknoloji Bölümü’nde ziyaretçi bilim insanı olarak görev yapmış ve burada araştırmalar yürütmüştür. Halihazırda Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Fakültesi Mütercim Tercümanlık Bölümü’nde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Çalışma alanı teknoloji destekli yabancı dil öğretimi ve teknoloji destekli araştırma yöntemleridir. Ayrıca akademik yazma, okuma ve okuma öğretimi konularında araştırmalar yapmakta ve dersler vermektedir. Bilgisayar destekli nitel veri analizi konusunda kalkınma ajansları da dahil olmak üzere çeşitli kurumlarda eğitimler vermiş ve uluslararası toplantılarda çalıştaylar yapmıştır. Dr. Bakla’nın yöntembilimsel uzmanlık alanı karma araştırmalar, nitel araştırmalar ve bilgisayar destekli nitel veri analizidir. Son yıllarda Language Learning & Technology, ReCALL, Computers & Education, Qualitative Research, Instructional Science and Australian Journal of Education gibi etki faktörü yüksek ve alanda ilk sıralarda yer alan uluslararası dergilerde yayınlar yapmıştır. NVivo ile Nitel Veri Analizi başta olmak İngilizceden Türkçeye çeviri çalışmaları yapmıştır. Ayrıca çeviri programları konusuna ilgi duymaktadır ve Putting Pen to Paper: Academic Paragraph Writing adlı kitabın yazarıdır.
